The questions we get asked most.
Straight answers on getting set up, what it costs, when the money lands, and who picks up the phone when something goes wrong. If yours is not here, a person will answer it.
Applying, and what happens next.
Payments, business banking, software, terminals, and the services around them. One firm, one account team, one set of statements. If all you need today is card processing, start there — the rest is a conversation with the same person later, not a new application.
A person reads your file and comes back in writing, with the reasoning. The average is 48 hours. If your category needs more documentation, you hear that at the start rather than after a week of silence.
Your business license and formation documents, ID for the owners, recent bank statements, and your recent processing statements if you have taken card payments before. If your category needs anything else, we tell you what and why up front.
Yes. You get your own merchant account with your business on it, rather than a slot inside somebody else's. The relationship with the bank is yours, and so is the record that comes with it.
Yes. A closure in your history, including a MATCH listing, does not end the conversation. It means the file has to explain itself. Send us what happened and the paperwork around it. A person reads it and you get a written answer either way.
Your pricing is agreed in writing before you sign, and anything you would be charged to open the account is on that same page. Nothing lands on a statement that was not in the agreement first.
What it costs, and when you get paid.
On what you sell, how you sell it, your processing history and your volume. We build the proposal line by line and walk you through every line before you sign. No teaser rate that resets in month four.
It can. Card costs move upstream and nobody can honestly promise they never will. What we can promise is that your account manager tells you first — why, when, and what it would take to keep it where it was.
A reserve is money held back against future disputes. If your account needs one, the amount and the release schedule are set before you sign, not sprung on you afterwards. We revisit it as the account seasons rather than setting it once and forgetting it.
It depends how you were paid. Bank transfers take a day or two, with same-day available when the timing matters. Stablecoin lands in minutes, on a Sunday the same as a Tuesday. Card settlement runs on a schedule you can plan around, and yours is written into your proposal.
The term, the notice, and what happens to your hardware are all in the agreement, and your account manager walks you through them before you sign rather than after. If a term is not written down, it does not apply to you.
Every way your customers want to pay.
Cards at the counter, online and on file. Bank transfers and wires. Stablecoin. Wallets on a phone. Pay-over-time at checkout, and cash from a machine on your own floor. It runs on one account and comes back as one report, however they paid.
It is a payment taken straight from your customer's bank account instead of a card. It suits big invoices and subscriptions, because bank details do not expire the way a card does, so renewals keep going. It takes a day or two rather than being instant, and same-day is there when it matters.
Yes. Stablecoins are dollars that move without the card networks or a chain of banks in between. They land in minutes, any day of the week, and settle outside the card dispute process. Convert to dollars when they arrive or hold them — either way they sit in the same report as everything else.
Yes. Cards stay on file and keep working after the bank reissues them, so a renewal does not fail over an expiry date. You never handle raw card numbers — each one is replaced with a token, and the real number stays off your systems.
Yes, two ways: the bank network, or stablecoin that lands in minutes. You see the rate and the fee before you confirm, and every payment abroad sits in the same report as the ones at home. Tell us the countries you deal with and we confirm we cover them before you commit to anything.
If you sell online or take card details over the phone, yes — the gateway is what carries the card data from your checkout to the bank. Ours installs on the big store platforms as a ready-made add-on, or drops into a page you built yourself. Tell us what you run and we confirm it before you apply.
Keeping the account healthy.
It is a customer disputing a sale with their card issuer, and the money coming back out of your account. The card networks hold every merchant to a threshold. You get an alert while there is still time to refund, so the dispute never counts against you. The winnable ones we build the evidence for. And you can see where your rate sits against the line long before a letter tells you.
We watch the account daily and a person reviews anything that crosses a threshold. So the first you hear about it is a call from someone who already knows your account, not a hold you discover on a Monday morning. If the bank needs something, we go and resolve it with them.
Every order is checked before it goes for approval, against rules written in plain words you can read and change yourself. Real customers go through. Stolen cards stop at the door. When you want a rule changed, you call our risk team and a person changes it.
Part of it, yes — everyone taking cards does. Card numbers are replaced with a token and never sit on your servers, which takes most of the work off you before you start. BIG runs PCI DSS and SOC 2 on our side, and your account manager tells you exactly which part is yours.
Partners, programs, and a name to call.
A named person who knows your account, your category and your bank. Not a call tree, not a new name every quarter. It is the same team whether the question is a batch that did not settle or a new entity that needs an account.
Yes. Cards in person, cards online, bank transfers and stablecoin sit behind one API and land in one ledger with one reconciliation. Onboarding, checkout, payouts and statements render inside your product, under your brand, and the payments revenue stays on your books.
BSA/AML, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring, on software we own rather than stitched together from vendors. You get daily exception reporting, a monthly pack of volume, risk and residuals reconciled before it reaches you, read-only access for your auditors, and one named risk lead on our side.
Refer deals to us, resell under our brand, or run your book under your own with our platform underneath. Decisions average 48 hours and come back in writing with the reasoning. Residuals arrive monthly as a line-item statement you can reconcile against your own records. The split is agreed with you up front and put in writing.
Yes. Cannabis and CBD, firearms, nutraceuticals, smoke and vape, sweepstakes and others already have bank relationships and written policy behind them. You are joining a program that exists rather than waiting for one to be built, and the compliance work for your category runs on our side of the line.
From first call to first payment.
Tell us what you sell
Twenty minutes with a person. What you sell, how your customers pay today, and what is not working. You leave that call knowing whether we are a fit.
A person reads your file
Not a form and not a score. You get a decision in writing with the reasoning behind it, and pricing spelled out line by line. The average is 48 hours.
Go live, with a name to call
Your account is set up, your hardware and integrations are configured, and you are handed to a named contact who stays on the account.
Ask us the one that isn't here.
Twenty minutes with a person is usually enough to tell you what your setup would look like and how quickly it comes together.
